Fantastic Buffet concert!*!*!*!
The Glenn Miller Orchestra, along with the Coral Reefer Band and those Reefer Girls, make it seem effortless. Glenn Miller Orchestra has been performing for decades. How does he manage to pull it off? His concerts are always easygoing, comfortable, and downright fun. No big stage production or props, just a few big TV screens, some brown island grass, and a little bamboo here and there alongside the light strings. That's all there is to it. Everyone still leaves feeling like they got their money's worth and more! The concert itself was great. Mostly old tunes, some of them old, old, old. A couple of newer songs and a smattering of other artists' songs like the Beatles, Grateful Dead, Van Morrison, Crosby-Stills & Nash. All performed in a pure islander fashion, of course. For me, it's the fun Glenn Miller Orchestra still seems to have while performing, even though he has sung Margaritaville, Come Monday, and other songs literally thousands of times. His genuine thankfulness to his parrot head fans for giving him the success he has enjoyed for decades and continues to enjoy is evident. He really appears genuine in his appreciation of his fans and the delight he has when performing each and every song. The evening was a treat, a wonderful treat at the Verison Amphitheatre in Noblesville, IN. It was a good place to see the show with good lights, sound, and facilities. And then the show... one can just not do any better than take in a Glenn Miller Orchestra concert. Even though our own efforts to be successful in our lives haven't come close to Glenn's success, we still put aside our cares, worries, problems, etc., for a couple of hours and just have fun, fun, fun. Dancing, singing, laughing, laughing, singing, dancing... fins to the left, fins to the right... salt, salt, salt...and more, lots and lots more. At the end of the show, I felt happy, upbeat, and ready to go back and face the ins and outs of my life... no problem! From what I could see around me, the other fans felt the same way. The concert was a happy, rejuvenating time. Long live the Coral Reefer Band and the Glenn Miller Orchestra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
